BASE OILS
ALL our base recipes are a combination of the fallowing oils.

Coconut Oil: Coconut oil has many benefits for skin, including moisturizing, antioxidants, and antibacterial properties.

Olive Oil: Olive oil is rich in vitamins including E, an antioxidant and conditioner. It also has antibacterial properties.

Palm Oil (Certified Sustainable): This oil is rich in vitamins A and E which help to nourish and protect dry skin.

Castor Oil: Castor oil is known for both its anti-fungi and antibacterial properties. But its main use in skin care is due to the moisturizing properties of ricinoleic acid, oleic acid, and linoleic acid contained in it.

Shea Butter: High in fatty acids, Shea butter is an amazing moisturizer and skin protectant. Also known for its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.

Avocado Oil: Moisturizing and skin-softening properties. It creates a creamy, stable lather and adds nourishing vitamins and antioxidants that help soothe and protect the skin.

Rice bran oil: Rich in antioxidants and essential fatty acids, it moisturizes, brightens, and helps improve skin elasticity, making it ideal for dry or mature skin.

ESSENTIAL OILS
Many of our scents are formulated using 100%
essential oils.

Bergamot (Bergaptene Free): Extracted from the bergamot peel by method of cold process. Offers a sweet, citrusy scent.

Cedarwood (Atlas): Extracted from the wood using Steam Distilled method. Offers a sharp, woodsy scent.
​

Clove Bud: Extracted from the bud by way of Steam Distilled method. This oil offers a spicy and rich scent, like actual cloves.
​

Cypress: Extracted from twigs and needles through Steam Distilled method. This oil has a spicy, smokey, slightly woody evergreen aroma.

Eucalyptus Lemon: Extracted from leaves and twigs using Steam Distilled method. This oil offers a strong lemon scent with a sweet citronella tone.

Fir Needle: Extracted from the needles through Steam Distilled method. This oil offers a fresh, woody, earthy, sweet scent that is much like walking through a pine forest.

Frankincense: Extracted from the resin of the Boswellia tree using Steam Distilled method. This oil offers a strong, mysterious note.

Lavandin: Extracted from the flowers through Steam Distilled method. This oil offers a strong, somewhat piercing camphor-like smell with some light, floral undertones characteristic of Lavender.

Lavender: Extracted from the flowers through Steam Distilled method. This oil offers a fresh, rich lavender floral scent.
​

Patchouli: Extracted from leaves using Steam Distilled method. This oil offers a warm, earthy aroma with fresh fruit-like tones.

Peppermint: This oil is Steam Distilled directly from the herb. This oil offers a sharp, traditional mint scent with a sweet undertone. Much like a piece of peppermint candy!

Peru Balsam: Extracted from the Myroxylon tree through Steam Distilled method. This oil offers a sweet, vanilla scent.

Rosemary: Extracted from the flowering tops using Steam Distilled method. This oil offers a strong, clear, penetrating herbaceous scent.

Kaolin Clay: This clay is a natural detoxifier and exfoliator. It also helps to sooth irritated skin and helps control excessive oil without drying out the skin.

Sea Salt: Sea salt contains a variety of minerals and elements that are considered beneficial for the skin and great for exfoliation.

Lye (Sodium Hydroxide): Soap making requires sodium hydroxide, it's what makes soap soap. When oils (fats) are mixed with an alkali, such as sodium hydroxide, a chemical reaction occurs called Saponification. The result of this reaction is soap and glycerin. No lye exists in the finished product, soap.

Activated charcoal: A deep-cleansing ingredient that helps draw out impurities, toxins, and excess oil, leaving skin feeling refreshed and detoxified.​
